A LITTLE ABOUT JOHN: I am a father of four children, and a grandfather of seven (well, the last time I checked but that number keeps growing). I have had an interest in art for a long time but struggled to even draw a basket of fruit. I then took a course in photography and found my art form. It wasn’t until several years later in life that I fell in love with it all over again by doing nature photography, followed by event photography shooting as the designated photographer for two Ottawa churches. Then in 2016, I discovered the specialty of wedding photography and spent some time shadowing Jessica Thomas (a highly acclaimed Ottawa wedding photographer). In 2019, I decided to branch out into portrait photography and here we are! I believe that hiring a photographer should involve more than receiving images that you are thrilled with. It should be an experience that makes you feel comfortable, cared for and excited about the memories you made.
